About the Artist

Wincent Weiss is a singer from Bad Oldesloe in northern Germany. In 2013, he participated in the tenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar, Germany’s version of the Idol franchise, but failed to make it to the live shows. In 2015, a remix of his rendition of Elif Demirezer’s “Unter meiner Haut” peaked as number six on the German Singles Chart and earned platinum certification. He released his first studio album Irgendwas gegen die Stille in April of 2017, which reached number three in Germany and number four in Switzerland, earning platinum certification in both countries. He won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best German Act in November of 2017 and the Echo Award for National Newcomer in April of 2018. In March of 2019 he released his second studio album Irgendwie anders, which reached number two in Germany and Switzerland.
