These exercises are all about practicing the preterite tense.
In the lyrics exercises, all instances of the preterite tense have been removed. Just listen to the song and fill them in. On this page, the video floats so you can pause it more easily if needed. If you aren’t super confident of the spellings yet, go ahead and use the drag and drop exercise. But if you think you’ve got the vocabulary down use the fill in the blank exercise.
In the sentence exercises the sentences that contain verbs in the preterite tense have been provided, but with the verbs removed. We have provided the verb and pronoun to guide you in filling in the blanks. Once again, if you’re not super confident, start with the drag and drop exercise.
The highlighting exercise is just about recognizing the preterite tense. Can you pick out all the verbs in the preterite?
